Nestled between the provinces of Maputo and Inhambane, is the relatively unknown Gaza Province, which holds many beautiful places to discover.
The coastal zone is about 150km long, offering good conditions for recreational fishing, swimming, windsurfing and jet skiing. The beautiful popular beaches of Bilene, Zongoene, Xai-Xai, Chongoene, Chizavane, and Chidenguele have sunny, white sandy beaches, idyllic sunrises and sunsets, shells, whales, dolphins and turtles. Most have boat launch sites and areas protected by reef.
Chidenguele and Bilene also have magnificent inland lakes. The area is also perfect for beach weddings.
Central is Praia de Xai-Xai, south is Bilene and north is Chizavane and Chidenguele.
Inland you have lovely conservation areas, Limpopo and Bahine National Parks. Also located inland is the district of Massingir where you can find Mozambique's second largest dam, Massingir Dam.
